HR Leadership Forum (HRLF) is an organization comprised of Greater Washington DC metropolitan area senior HR professionals, learning organization executives and organizational leaders responsible for managing human talent. As organizational thought leaders and decision makers, they are influential in and share responsibility for the strategic human resource decisions made around "the executive table" whether that table resides in a corporate, not-for-profit, government or academic setting. HRLF is the Mid-Atlantic affiliate of HR People & Strategy (HRPS).

Non Profit Consortium-HRLF has organized a sub-group to focus on human resource issues (both strategic and tactical) in the non-profit industry. This non-profit consortium invited as charter members organizations including Project Hope, WWF, EduCap, Special Olympics, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and ACDI/VOCA among its initial group of approximately 25 organizations. The group meets monthly and has been brainstorming on the structure and function of the meetings. Our goal is to provide the following useful resources to HR leaders in the non-profit world:

  • To be the non-profit HR executives’ premier networking and professional forum
  • To offer a working group that creates sustainable and long-term strategic solutions for HR issues that are unique to non-profit organizations
  • To offer a medium for information gathering and exchange provided by a council of experts targeted to address non-profit topics
  • To create an online portal that is designed as a library of knowledge for HRLF non-profit consortium members; and
  • To provide different venues to address the non-profit community’s most pressing issues (seminars, round-table discussion, monthly conference calls)
