Pilot Offerings 2009-2010

HRLF Learning Series for US Government Human Capital Leaders

Effective October 1, 2009, the HR Leadership Forum, Washington’s premiere organization of people strategy leaders, is pleased to be offering a series of eight learning sessions in a one year pilot program for US Government Agency Human Capital leaders. HRLF presents leading edgestrategic topics and speakers for forward-looking human capital professionals. These sessions focus on human capital management and organizational and leadership development.

Meetings are structured as superior learning opportunities designed for senior-level professionals to expand their knowledge and stretch their minds. The selected topics are strategic in nature, futuristic in tone and have significant organization applications.

Trainings are approved for PHR, SPHR and GPHR credit through the HR Certification Institute .

The HRLF Government Training Series is offered to US Government human capital leaders and senior human capital professionals:

A. In a package of eight sessions, or  
B. As individual sessions selected from among the eight offered.

Within 30 days of attending an individual training, the participant may upgrade to the eight trainings package for the remaining sessions, at the eight session cost less the fee already paid.

Any purchased training(s) is transferable to other US Government employees, should the purchaser not be able to attend specific sessions.

The cost for

  • The eight trainings package is $350 (which is an average of less than $45 per training)
  • An individual training is $75 each.

2009-2010 Board Nominations

The HRLF Board is committed to increasing the value of your membership investment. This year, the annual business meeting, including elections and review of the year, will be held at our June 4th Social , in combination with a networking event at the beautiful Arts Club of Washington DC .

One of the critical agenda items in the business meeting is the election of new directors and officers. In accordance with the HRLF Bylaws (above) members may nominate candidates for these Board positions. In practice, we're looking for some volunteers to serve ... members who are willing to make an investment in creating a vibrant community of senior HR leaders. Are you interested? If so, fill out the nomination form , attach your resume and submit it to Mary Jane Reed no later than Monday, April 10th.

The final slate of candidates will be recommended and submitted to the Board by the Nominating Committee and voted on at the annual meeting on June 10th. The committee will make its recommendations based on the background, skills and interests of the nominee, with special attention to all kinds of diversity in order to complement the directors who will continue serving next year.
