Reinventing Performance Management - the Deloitte story
What does an investment of 2 million hours annually in an organization’s people yield? Without the right model in place one organization learned that perhaps the answer is ‘not enough’. As Deloitte set out to drive a strengths-based development culture firm-wide they discovered a critical roadblock: a remediation-based Performance Management process. With internal and external research that called to question whether the data, timelines, process and philosophy underpinning the model they’d relied on for years would be enough to fuel the next generation of performance, Deloitte challenged itself to rethink what more real-time, data-rich and ‘me-first’ process might look like.
Now, with over a year of testing, piloting, refining and learning underway from a new design that is proving to be as enriching to its people as it is an accelerant to business operations, Deloitte’s discovering how more data and more conversations can create more performance and engagement of the people and teams that deliver to their clients each day.
