Mahreen Rashid

EVP of People Services - Excella

As Executive Vice President of People Services at Excella, Mahreen serves as a key member of the executive team, overseeing the HR, Recruiting, Workforce Management and Analytics, IT and the Marketing and Internal Communications functions. Throughout her 20+ years of experience, Mahreen has served organizations in both the public and private sector, where she has developed expertise in designing and implementing a diverse portfolio of programs to attract, develop and retain talent. During her time at Excella, Mahreen has more than doubled the number of staff members, increased engagement and achieved numerous workplace awards for Excella. With a focus on employee career development, Mahreen has developed an award-winning Leadership Development Program (ELDP) that equips Excellians with the tools to lead with accountability, inclusion, and confidence. Her unique approach to supporting people programs at the firm is deeply human-centric and driven by the power of data collection. Mahreen's initiatives foster open communication and feedback mechanisms that align with Excella's value drivers of meaningful work, growth and development and awesome colleagues. Her commitment has not only enriched Excella's culture but also made a significant impact in the tech community at large. Mahreen earned a Master's in Business Administration with a focus in Management and Organization from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland College Park. Mahreen is Chair of the Board of Directors for Homestretch, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless families in Virginia become self-sufficient. She also serves on Arlington's Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
